A comprehensive 3 hours Eye Examination can be booked together with an eye treatment or as a standalone process. Upon your request, we can give you a report regarding your eyesight and a list of treatments suitable for you.
 
GENERAL HEALTH EXAMINATION

We require a General health examination from clients who want to undergo eye surgery and are 50 years and older. It is used to check your state of health before an operation under local anaesthesia. The general health checkup can be booked as a part of your treatment.

EYE PREOPERATIVE EXAMINATION


Eye Preoperative examination includes tests of visual acuity, intraocular pressure, the examination of the cornea, binocular visual system, subjective refraction, external examination, the examination of the retina, and Schirmer test.

One of our eye specialists will evaluate the results of your examination recommend treatment and answer your questions. Praga Medica representative will accompany you through the examination to assist you with translation and organization. Results from the examination are valid for 3 months.

It includes a blood test, blood pressure, ECG, and test for glycaemia It is to confirm that you can undergo the surgery in local anaesthesia It is mandatory for all patients 50 years old and older It can be arranged in Prague or you can bring a confirmation from your GP

How long do I have to stay in the Czech Republic?

The lens is custom-made to your specific prescription, similar to an eyeglass prescription. Each eye requires approximately 2 days, so expect 3-4 days. The implantation requires two separate visits to Prague. The initial visit is a mandatory preoperative exam that takes only one day to fill your prescription for producing the custom-fit lens. After 6 weeks, the lenses are ready to be implanted.

What are the side effect of using the Refractive Lens?

Types of lenses can I get?
