Procedure details
The surgery is performed under local anaesthesia. An incision is on the back of the ear, exposing the ear cartilage. The cartilage is then modified to allow the ear to sit closer to the side of the head.
Our experienced best otoplasty surgeons hide the scar behind the ear. Post-operative pain is usually very mild. The surgery is done under local anaesthesia or analgosedation. Hospitalisation is not required. The first check-up takes place on the second day, which includes cleaning the wound and applying a compression headband.
