Gynecomastia treatment is usually performed under general anaesthesia. The procedure will take approximately two hours.
If the male reduction is treated with liposuction alone, then approximately two 3-4 mm incisions will be made.
If the breast tissue is to be removed via open approach, then a small incision will be made along part the areola. This is expected to heal well and remain well concealed. The treatment requires only 1 day hospitalisation.
