The surgery is performed under general anaesthesia and typically takes around 2 hours. The surgeon removes excess skin, reshapes the breast tissue, and repositions the nipple and areola to a higher, more natural position. The incisions vary depending on the degree of lift required but are usually made around the areola and possibly vertically down to the breast crease (the “anchor” scar).

Breast Uplift with Implants

Breast uplift with implants performed abroad in Prague improves both the shape and volume of the bust. Changes in breast shape commonly occur after pregnancy, breastfeeding, or significant weight loss. Implants are available in different shapes (round or anatomical) and various sizes, allowing the procedure to be fully tailored to the patient’s wishes.

The breast uplift with implants is carried out under general anaesthesia and requires approximately 2 days of hospitalisation.

The size and direction of scars following breast cosmetic surgery depend on the degree of breast sagging and breast size. If sagging is minimal, it may be sufficient to remove skin only around the areola, resulting in a scar located solely around the nipple. In cases of more significant sagging, especially when combined with breast reduction, additional skin removal is necessary. Scars may then appear around the areola, vertically down to the under-breast crease, and along the crease itself. Over time, these scars usually fade and appear as thin lines.

Recovery After Breast Uplift with Implants

1. On the day following breast uplift or breast reduction surgery, the doctor removes the drains used to eliminate residual fluids. A compression bandage is applied, and the incisions are covered with patches that remain in place for 14 days, along with sterile gauze.
2. On the third day after surgery, the patient removes the bandage and gauze, disinfects the incision areas without removing the patches, and reapplies sterile gauze. An elastic, non-wired support bra is worn. The breasts should not be washed for 14 days.
3. Two weeks after surgery, the doctor removes the patches and gauze. If a follow-up visit is not possible, patients may remove the patches themselves. The stitches are absorbable and do not require removal. Showering is permitted, and gentle pressure massage of the scars is recommended starting from day 18. Scar creams may also be used.
4. A supportive elastic bra without underwires should be worn for 4 weeks, after which a regular bra may be used.
5. Patients should rest for one week after surgery. Office-based work is typically possible afterward, while full physical activity may be resumed after approximately 4 weeks.
