Procedure details

Every treatment reflects your specific needs. Our friendly specialists are here for you to guide you on every step of your journey.

Who the Donors are

A specific egg donor is prepared only for you, which enables matching some of the donor´s characteristics. We only use eggs from anonymous volunteer donors that have been carefully preselected and tested. Our egg donors are mostly Czech women (Caucasian race = pale skin) under 35 years old. You can choose the egg donor based on your requirement. In order to guarantee a high quality of donor eggs, our donor undergoes a series of examinations concerning their health, psychological state and genetics. This includes:
  • Test for cystic fibrosis
  • Sexual helth screening to avoid any risk of AIDS, hepatitis B, hepatitis C

Requirements for the Treated Couple

The female must be less than 49 years old, in good health, and living in a partnership. There is no marriage requirement; however, we cannot treat single women or same-sex couples due to the local legislation.

How long will it take?

You can spend 2 or 3 nights in Prague.

If you prefer to split the visits at the clinic into two, the first visit is for the initial consultation, the second one is for the embryo transfer.

If all the tests are done upon your arrival, the whole stay takes only 2 days.

Day 1: Initial consultation

The initial consultation gives you the perfect opportunity to get the specialists to know, discuss all questions and take the gynaecological examination.

Day 2: Embryo transfer

We recommend you relax at least for the next 24 hours after the transfer, before flying back home.

FAQS

Can I choose the Donor?

arrow-procedures
Our IVF specialist will help you select a perfect egg donor for you. As the whole process is anonymous, you cannot see the donor's photo; however, the specialist ensures that the donor is the same phenotype as you are. There is a possibility to set a requirement for the physical features, such as the donor's hair and eye colour, height, weight, and level of education. All donors are western-looking females aged 18-35 years accepted locally. All donors must pass a health screening and several psychological tests before donation to ensure no significant health issue or genetic disease history. We do not purchase eggs from an external source. If the selected donor fails, the entire process will be slightly delayed until you find the perfect match.

What is the success rate?

Egg donation is a highly successful treatment. The success rate is over 70%. The procedure with a guarantee of more embryos increases your chances of falling pregnant. The cumulative effect of three complete cycles increases the chances of a successful pregnancy.

Can I undergo the IVF as a single woman?

Under Czech law, IVF treatment is only allowed for opposite-sex couples, not for single women. The male partner needs to sign the parental form and the treatment agreement. The couple cannot be family-related, e.g., siblings or cousins.
