Who Is Egg Donation Suitable For?

Egg donation is a specialized treatment designed for you and your partner if natural conception has been a challenge. It is suitable if you are experiencing one or more of the following:

• Hormonal disorders
• Premature menopause

• Immunological factors

Additionally, it is recommended that you:

• Have undergone repeated unsuccessful IVF treatments with your own eggs
• Have a low supply of quality eggs due to age
• Are unable to produce a sufficient number of quality eggs despite hormonal stimulation
• Carry a transmissible genetic disorder, and genetic testing of embryos is not an option

The female recipient must be under 49 years old, in good health, and living in a partnership. Unfortunately, due to local legislation, we are unable to provide treatment for single women or same-sex couples.

The Process of Egg Donation

Together IVF is our unique concept that allows you and your partner to share your IVF journey with your personal IVF consultant. From your first inquiry to your time at the clinic and even after you return home, your personal IVF consultant will guide your every step of the way.

The egg donation process involves the following:

1. Initial Consultation and Form Completion:

During the initial interview, you and your partner will complete a detailed form, providing personal data and preferences regarding the egg donor.

2. Donor Selection:

We use unique software to match the most suitable donor from our extensive register. The donor is selected based on your stated preferences and matched for phenotype traits, such as eye color, hair color, height, and blood group, ensuring compatibility with you.

3. Donor Preparation:

A specific egg donor is prepared exclusively for you. All our donors are anonymous volunteers who have been carefully preselected and tested. Our donors are primarily Czech women under 35 years old (Caucasian race with pale skin).

4. Donor Testing:

To guarantee the highest quality of donor eggs, our donors undergo comprehensive health, psychological, and genetic testing, including:

• Cystic fibrosis screening
• Sexual health screening to ensure no risk of AIDS, hepatitis B, or hepatitis C
• Karyogram (structural examination of the chromosomes – normal female karyotype)
• Screening of autosomal recessive gene mutations:

• CFTR (cystic fibrosis)
• SMN1 (gene mutation for spinal muscle atrophy)
• GJB2 (inherited hearing loss)

5. Egg Retrieval and Fertilization:

Once the donor’s eggs are retrieved, they are fertilized with your partner’s or donor’s sperm in our state-of-the-art laboratory.

6. Embryo Transfer:

The resulting embryo(s) are carefully transferred to your uterus, maximizing the chances of a successful pregnancy.
